The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

We’re looking forward to celebrating 70 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign along with the rest of the country this June. Here’s what’s planned in the Western Dales Mission Community.

Friday, 3 June

10.30am – Service of Thanksgiving, St Andrew’s Sedbergh. We sing hymns, offer prayers, and hear stories about the role the Queen has played in our society over the years.

2pm – Service of Thanksgiving, St Andrew’s Dent. We sing hymns, offer prayers, and hear stories about the role the Queen has played in our society over the years. Followed by refreshments in Dent Methodist Church.

Saturday, 4 June

2.30pm – Cowgill Platinum Jubilee picnic and Service of Thanksgiving. A family picnic, beginning with a short service of thanksgiving.

Sunday, 5 June

Morning: Pentecost Services happening across our churches in the Western Dales.

12.30pm – Community Picnic Lunch, St Mark’s Cautley. Bring a picnic and join in the celebrations in the beautiful church of St Mark’s.

1pm – The Big Jubilee Lunch, St Andrew’s Sedbergh. Join us for food and celebrations in Sedbergh.
